Account Deletion

We respect your right to control your personal data. This page provides instructions on how to delete your Bricks account and associated data.

How to Delete Your Account

From the Mobile App (iOS/Android)

  1. Open the Bricks app on your device
  2. Navigate to your Profile by tapping the profile icon
  3. Go to Settings or Profile Settings
  4. Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section
  5. Tap "Delete Account"
  6. Confirm your decision when prompted
  7. Your account will be marked for deletion and you'll be signed out

From the Web Application

  1. Sign in to your account at getbricksapp.com
  2. Go to Dashboard → Settings
  3. Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section
  4. Click "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm your decision when prompted
  6. Your account will be marked for deletion and you'll be signed out

Via Email Request

If you're unable to delete your account through the app or website, you can request deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to repsfitness75@gmail.com
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your account
  4. We'll process your request within 48 hours

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Important: This Action Cannot Be Undone

Once your account deletion is processed, your data cannot be recovered. Please ensure you've exported any information you wish to keep before proceeding.

Data That Will Be Deleted

The following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your account information (name, email, profile data)
  • All food logs and nutrition tracking history
  • Saved meals and custom recipes
  • Personal preferences and settings
  • Food photos and images you've uploaded
  • Weight and body measurement history
  • Fitness goals and targets
  • Integration settings with third-party services
  • Any subscription or payment information

Data Retention Period

  • 30-day grace period: Your account is initially soft-deleted, allowing recovery if you change your mind
  • After 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems
  • Backups: Data in automated backups may persist for up to 90 days before being purged

Data That May Be Retained

We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Anonymized analytics data: Used to improve our service (no personal identifiers)
  • Transaction records: Kept for tax and accounting purposes (minimum required by law)
  • Legal compliance: Data required to be retained under applicable laws
  • Fraud prevention: Limited data to prevent abuse of our services

Before You Delete Your Account

Consider These Alternatives

  • Take a break: You can simply stop using the app without deleting your account
  • Export your data: Download your nutrition history before deletion
  • Contact support: If you're having issues, we're here to help

Active Subscriptions

If you have an active subscription:

  • Cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play Store first
  • Deleting your account does not automatically cancel subscriptions
  • You will not receive refunds for unused subscription time
